How Can A Foreigner Obtain A Kuwaiti License?

To obtain a Kuwaiti Amateur License you must be holding an amateur license from the United States of America, where Kuwaiti amateurs receive the similar treatment. You must also be either resident in Kuwait or on a short visit to Kuwait. The procedure for applying for a license is as follows.
1- Complete the relevant application form (obtainable from KARS HQ) and submit it to the manager along with a copy of your passport showing the visiting visas for those who are on short visits, or a copy of your Civil ID Card for those who are residing in Kuwait. The latter must also provide details (specifications, serial numbers, etc..) related to the equipment that they will be using. KARS administration will refer the application to the Ministry of Communication that is the authority issuing amateur licenses. The process may take from 7 to 10 working days.
2- The required fees for a license is K.D. 5 (around $18) per year payable to the Ministry of Communication.
Please contact KARS HQ. for more information.
